Zhaotong Lin

Zhaotong Lin is an assistant professor in the Department of Statistics in Florida State University. She received her Ph.D. in biostatistics at the University of Minnesota in 2023. Her research interests include statistical genetics, Mendelian randomization, polygenic risk scores prediction, genome-wide association study, transcriptome-wide association study, gene prioritization and drug discovery.

Lin is a recipient of the 2025-2027 FSU Clinical and Translational Science Career Development Award for her project titled "Advancing Cell-Type-Specific Transcriptome-Wide Association Studies for Alzheimer’s Disease." Her research focuses using biostatistics and statistical genetics to developing statistical models for identifying causal risk factors for complex diseases. The goal of her project is to identify which genes within neural cell populations contribute to Alzheimer's disease to ultimately provide potential therapeutic targets.
