Mutual Fund Data.
Now go to your desktop and double click on the JMP file.
This process will automatically start JMP and display the following dataset.
Click the Graph menu and then select Chart.
The following dialog box will appear.
Click the column Year, and then click on Categories, X, Levels.
Click the column Percent of Assets then click the down arrow on Statistics and select Data.
Last, click on the black down arrow next to Bar Chart and select Pie Chart.
Your dialog box should now look like the following.
Click Ok. The pie chart will then appear.
If you would like to display the percentage of the total each category represents, click on the red down arrow next to Chart and select Label Options then Label by Percent of Total Values:
Your bar chart should now look like the following:
Notice that they’re some values overlapping each other, to keep them from doing this place your cursor on the lower right corner of the white portion for this graph. Once your cursor turns into a two-headed arrow click and drag chart until overlapping does not exist.
Here is the final product:

Double click the file to open it. Notice that there is only a single column with 40 rows.
Making this pie chart will be fairly similar to making the pie chart with the mutual fund data. Click the Graph menu and select Chart. You will see the following dialog box:
Click the Column Car Type, then click on Categories, X, Levels.
Click on the black down arrow next to Bar Chart and select Pie Chart.
Click Ok.
The following bar chart will be displayed.
Displaying the percent of the total that each category represents is done the same way as with the last pie chart. Click on the red down arrow next to Chart and select Label Options then Label by Percent of Total Values. The updated pie chart should now look similar to the following.
