Now go to your desktop and double click on the JMP file.
This process will automatically start JMP and display the following dataset.
Click the Analyze menu and then select Distribution.
The following dialog box will appear.
Click the column Rate, and then click on Y, Columns.
Your dialog box should now look like the following.
Click Ok. Your Histogram will then appear.
Click on the red down arrow next to Distributions, and then select Stack.
You should see the following.
Click now the red arrow next to Rate, select Histogram Options, and Count Axis:
You should see the following update:
You can also add relative frequency to the y-axis.
Click again the red arrow next to Rate, select Histogram Options, then Prob Axis.
You should see the following:
Also, if you do not want the count or relative frequency to the y-axis, just go back and un-select either or both.
Changing Boundaries
To change the number of bins and class boundaries (x and y axis) just move over your cursor to the x-axis of your histogram.
A grab cursor will appear below the histogram bars and click and drag either up and down or side to side to see the histogram change class boundaries. The following is an example of this:
Stemplot
Next to produce the stemplot click again the red arrow next to Rate and select Stem and Leaf:
You will see the following result next to your histogram.
