Please click on the following link and save it to your desktop:
Annual Mileage Data
Now go to your desktop and double click on the JMP file.
This process will automatically start JMP and display the following dataset.
Click the Analyze menu and then select Distribution.
The following dialog box will appear.
Click the column Annual Miles, and then click on Y, Columns.
Your dialog box should now look like the following.
Click Ok.
Next, move the cursor over to the red arrow near Annual Miles and click it.
Under Display Options select Horizontal Layout.
Once again click move the cursor over to the red arrow near Annual Miles and click it.
This time move the cursor over to Confidence Interval and select 95.
An addition of Confidence Interval information will appear in your Distribution window.
Note: we can assign other Confidence Intervals and change its properties by selecting Others...
The following configurable menu will appear which will allow the user to select specific properties for their desired Confidence Interval.
