Research Interests
|
- My current research interests are varied. I have a
- long-standing interest in geometrical probability, and in particular, in one-dimensional
- covering problems. I am also working in the area of survival analysis (the analysis of
- lifetime data). I have a particular interest in the modeling of spatial binary responses with
- associated covariates. An example of this would be explaining the presence or absence of
- a species at various sites on a map in terms of climate information (temperature and rainfall
- covariates). Markov chain Monte Carlo techniques are useful in both survival analysis and
- spatial models, and consequently I have developed a general interest in this topic. Finally,
- I am interested in tests for detecting the existence of "interesting" structure in highdimensional data.
