Nonparametric Methods for Repair Models MYLES HOLLANDER
Florida State UniversitySince many systems are maintained by administering some type of repair after each failure, it is important to study and develop methods for analyzing data from systems subject to repair. We survey some approaches to nonparametric inference for these models, including methods of Whitaker and Samaniego (1989), Hollander, Presnell and Sethuraman (1992), Dorado, Hollander
and Sethuraman (1997), Augustin and Pena (1999), and Sethuraman and Hollander (2002). Repair models considered include those of Brown and Proschan (1983), Kijima (1989), Dorado, Hollander and Sethuraman (1997), and Last and Szekli (1998).
