Minutes of the 1997 Annual Meeting of the Florida Chapter of the ASA

Minutes of the 1997 Annual Meeting of the Florida Chapter of the ASA held on the campus of The University of West Florida(UWF), February 28- March 1, reported by Dr. Ken Portier and submitted by Dr. Lora Bohn, secretary/ Treasurer.

The Chapter Business Meeting was called to order by President, Dr. Mike Bundrick at 11:50 A.M, March 1,1997. The minutes of The 1996 meeting and the treasurer's report were distributed and approved. The 1997-1999 Chapter officers were elected as follows:

President:                   Dr. Lora Bohn (University of Florida)
Vice President:           Dr. Jayaram Sethuraman (Florida State University)
Secretary/Treasurer:   Dr. Matoteng Ncube (University of West Florida)

It was announced that Paul Mullenix, the chapter vice president, 1995-1997, was transferred to Malaysia and was unable to continue his involvement in the chapter.

Fred Leysieffer was selected to receive the Florida Chapter Service Recognition Award to be presented at the annual ASA
meeting in Anaheim California, August, 1997.

The University of Central Florida (UCF) was chosen as the site for the 1998 chapter meeting.

The meeting adjourned.
