This annual award was established in 2011 by Dr. Ji-Hyun Lee in memory of her parents. This prize is awarded at the Florida Chapter
of the American Statistical Association's annual meeting.
The organizers of the Chapter's annual meeting select the winner based on their own selection
criteria. Preference is given to student speakers. In lieu of suitable student speakers, the
award candidate pool may extended to tenure earning faculty members.
In addition to scholarly recognition, the award includes a cash prize of $100.00.
Dr. Lee is an Associate Member of Biostatistics at Moffitt Cancer Center and an Associate Professor of Oncologic Sciences at
the University of South Florida Professor. She currently serves as Chapter secretary / treasurer.
